Web Hosting

ITS provides 150 MB of disk space on a web server for Beckman Institute research groups. To obtain web space, a research group should e-mail the following information to the Help Desk: site name (mysite.beckman.uiuc.edu), faculty sponsor, research group and the NetIDs of those users who will need permission to edit the content of the web pages.

Wiki Hosting

ITS also offers a cost recovery based wiki hosting service. If your group is interested in expanding its collaboration options with a wiki, please contact the ITS Helpdesk for more information.

Software Checkout

ITS has a wide variety of software installation CDs available for checkout to the Beckman community. To check out installation CDs for any of the following packages, stop by the Help Desk in Room 5345. The CITES WebStore also has many applications available for download. Licensing details may vary.

Antivirus
CITES provides free VirusScan antivirus software to UIUC faculty, staff and students. You can download Mac and Windows versions of VirusScan from the CITES WebStore. You can also pick up an ITS antivirus CD, which includes the installable VirusScan program as well as other antivirus utilities, from the Help Desk.

If you think you may already have a virus, you can download a copy of the CITES Emergency Virus Removal CD.

Matlab
The Beckman Institute participates in the CITES network licensing program for MATLAB making it available to the University community free of charge. To access the latest version of the MatLab software and license please visit the CITES WebStore.

Mathematica
Mathematica may be downloaded from the CITES WebStore by authenticated users who are associated with a licensed department as listed in their Electronic Directory department entry. Currently licensed departments are:
